Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy

Effective: July 17, 2026

This policy exists because Washington’s My Health My Data Act — and similar laws in Nevada and Connecticut — require a separate, distinct policy for consumer health data. It applies to Washington residents wherever they happen to be, which for college students means it follows you to school and home again.

It’s short, because we don’t collect much.

The honest version first

We don’t collect information about your health. We don’t ask how you sleep. We don’t measure anything. We don’t diagnose anything. We have no idea whether you sleep well or badly, and we never will.

What we know is that a phone number signed up for a sleep education program. Because some laws treat “seeking a service to learn about your health” as health data itself, we’re writing this down rather than assuming we’re exempt.

What we collect that these laws may cover

• The fact of your enrollment. That a mobile number registered for College Wrecks Your Sleep, a sleep education program run by College Sleep Score LLC.
• Your consent record. The date, time, IP address, and exact language you agreed to when you registered.
• Whether you opened a message. So we know whether to send a reminder.

That’s it. No responses, no health status, no symptoms, no measurements.

What we don’t collect

• How much you sleep, or how well
• Any diagnosis, condition, symptom, or medication
• Biometric data of any kind
• Precise location. We use the school you tell us at registration to figure out your time zone, so a message meant for noon arrives at noon. That’s the whole reason we ask.

Where it comes from

Only from you. A student registers her own number and provides her own school. Nobody else can enroll her — not a parent, not a friend, not whoever bought the program. We don’t buy data, we don’t infer health information, and we don’t collect it from anywhere else.

Why we collect it

To send you the program you signed up for, at a reasonable hour in your own time zone, and to stop the moment you tell us to. Nothing else.

Who we share it with

Nobody, in the sense these laws mean.

We use service providers to run the program — Klaviyo delivers the messages, Supabase stores the records, Vercel serves this page, Stripe processes payment. They act on our instructions and cannot use your information for their own purposes.

We do not share it with advertisers, data brokers, or other companies.

Your consent

You gave it at registration, in language you could see, on the form itself — not buried in terms you scrolled past. You can withdraw it at any time, and withdrawing it is easy: reply STOP to any message, or email us.

Withdrawing consent stops message delivery immediately. It doesn’t automatically delete your record — for that, ask, and see below.

Your rights

Email support@collegewrecksyoursleep.com to:

• Know what we have. We’ll send you a copy within 30 days.
• Delete it. We’ll delete your entire record within 30 days — including from backups — and instruct our service providers to do the same. This is a real deletion, not a flag on a row we keep.
• Withdraw consent. Reply STOP, or email us. Message delivery stops immediately.
• Appeal. If we deny a request, we’ll tell you why in writing and how to appeal. If we deny your appeal, you can complain to the Washington State Attorney General: https://www.atg.wa.gov/file-complaint

We won’t charge you, and we won’t treat you differently for asking.

How long we keep it

Your consent record is what lets us prove you asked to be here, so we keep it while you’re enrolled. Ask us to delete it and we will, within 30 days, entirely.

If this changes

If we start collecting anything about your actual health — for example, if the sleep assessment moves onto this site — we will update this policy and say so plainly before it happens.
